What the Paper Says: White Paper Critique
Summary
The white paper “Design and Deliver Cloud-Based Data and Apps for Flexible, On-Demand IT” describes the easiest and fastest way for information technology to allow business productivity utilizing cloud-based management and complete workspace delivery.
Quality of Research
The objective of the article was made clear in the introduction as the author describes Citrix Cloud as the platform for delivering scalable, personalized, and secure services, which people need to do their work at any place (Prince, 2011; Voorsluys, Broberg and Buyya, 2011). The objective is compelling as it introduces Citrix Cloud as a must-have tool in business. The work is original because Citrix Cloud is a new invention that was created by the Citrix System Company (Buyya, Broberg and Goscinski, 2010). Moreover, background research is relevant. However, there were no other tools reviewed to compare with the Citrix Cloud. There are no ethical issues as the platform provides secure services.
Research Methodology
The research methodology is observation, and it is appropriate for the study question. The method is adequately described. Analysis of the observed information was done correctly. Additionally, the conclusion is verifiable since the observed data support it.
Findings and Discussion
The paper is logically presented, and the observed information supports the research question. The discussion links back to the research question and literature. The discussion provided in the article is relevant as the author explains that the Citrix Cloud may well provide a fully integrated method of delivering cloud-based services via the unified control panel to help in consuming, publishing, and designing workspaces (Annapureddy, 2010).
Additional Notes
The title of the article is appropriate because the paper describes the delivery and design of cloud-based apps and data for improving business productivity. The author’s underlying assumption that Citrix Cloud is the best cloud-based management tool is not based on any comparison with similar platforms (Holt and Vonderau, 2015). As such, the author is not objective as they favored Citrix Cloud in the paper’s arguments.
